Today was a very exciting day as 15 lucky dogs left Romania. It was excellent coordination and cooperation between the rescuers and Zuzu transport company.

It all started yesterday late afternoon when 9 dogs were picked up from the animal shelter in Butimanu. They were housed overnight as the transporter had to leave Bucharest very early the next morning.

Around 4am this morning the remaining 6 dogs were loaded from Carmen Dodi’s yard in Tantava.

Some of the dogs have been waiting for their chance for years, others were very lucky and were spared a long wait.

We are so happy to have been involved in saving 11 puppies and their mother from a kill in Constanta. Eight of these pups are on transport today!
